Are we hiring “safe” leaders/employees in our organisations?
It’s a really interesting one to think about whether HR managers and leaders should do additional tests to ensure the people they are hiring in important and leadership positions are “safe”.
It would be interesting to see how organisations pursue this further and the type of assessments they might carry out. With over £7.8bn annually worth of productivity lost through office politics, broken careers, high turnover costs and the rise of remote working to avoid these issues, it’s a step forward in the right direction! And if you’re working for a new startup, perhaps there may be a time where certificates will be required to prove “safety” in leadership/ownership.
Let’s see what happens in 2025.
